The unedited image for the magazine cover
Considerated images to use for the magazine advert
The magazine cover
These pictures were selected from a photoshoot I did weeks after the photoshoot for my digipack to further present my artist and her style. You can see that her fashion and image here is very unique as it varies from heavy and tattered shirts to black based leather and ripped style and lastly material and velvet reserved dresses. The artist clearly adopts many styles and tries to insert colour into her grunge vintage look. When taking these pictures I decided to consider them for the magazine cover as it shows she is also a character who feels most comfordable and best presented in a natural and mysterious enviroment where she actually goes. The images of her here also fits directly into her star image and main representations. As firstly being alternative by being dark, gothic and having a style that's ripped and 'messy' without mainstream labels. Also her second upgraded, more feminine glamorous image where she wears dresses and has an appearance and increase of colour in her wardrobe.
But I finally chose to add these images to my collage/collection for the artist's star image, and not feature for the magazine advert because the image I finally chose to use looks clearer and taken with a professional camera that was based in a studio so looks a lot more professional. The final image is also more focused on the artist, unlike the considerated images which has a vast and big forest behind her, possibly distracting the audience from the artist herself.
